Let the good times roll… That’s 4 straight nights sleeping in bed with my wife and staying consistent with more time in restorative sleep each night.
81% efficiency with 7h 19m asleep out of 9h 3m in bed. That’s still a lot of time awake but a big improvement from where I was just 2 weeks ago.
If I was subjectively measuring my awake time at night, I’d say it feels like more in the 1 hour range, but I’ll accept Oura’s assessment and keep working to improve.
So far I think the 4 big drivers that are improving my sleep are wearing my blue light blocking glasses each night until I lie down, consuming 5g of glycine before bed, moving back to my bedroom to sleep and being consistent in my average time of going to bed and waking up.
I need to do some research on what may be contributing to my time awake each night and steps I can take to improve this.
I’m dreaming a lot, waking up refreshed and feeling optimistic about my progress. A couple of short term goals I have are to improve my efficiency to 90%+ consistently, and to get my nightly sleep score above 85.
Tonight I plan to add a 15 minute session in my massage chair before bed and see if that makes a difference.
