Sleep is possible. Even with a little one. Take a breath. Let's get your family back on track. Let's get everyone sleeping.
I'm Carina, Certified Child Sleep Consultant supporting children 0-6.
My goal is to understand and listen. To empower and support. I aim to see the big picture while looking at the small details. I will pay attention to your family’s sleep situation while holding the emotional experience for you and your child.
I have the perfect eye for that- as a certified sleep consultant, infant/toddler therapist, parenting expert and Mom.
About Me
I’m Carina and I currently wear many hats- Mama of boys, Certified Child Sleep Consultant, Certified Lactation Counselor and Clinical Social Worker. My oldest son inspired my lactation journey, my youngest led me to become a sleep consultant. In each case, I turned to a professional trained in each area and was amazed at how much knowledge, support and guidance I received.
The stars aligned for me and I realized how my career as a clinical social worker, with a specialization in infant, toddlers and parenting, could support my new obsessions of lactation and sleep. Everything I’ve learned and practiced over the last ten plus years about child development and behavior, and supporting parents intersects beautifully with the worlds of lactation and child sleep.
Deciding to work with a certified sleep consultant was life changing for my entire family. Sleep (or lack of it!) impacts the whole family functioning. Sure, I could have googled or read a few books to help- but who has time for that? As a Certified Child Sleep Consultant, I strive to take the guesswork out for you. I will support your goals with a caring, thoughtful and non-judgmental listening ear.
I will support you so you can be there for your child.
Early wakings, nursing to sleep, short naps, night wakings, bedtime tantrums, rocking to sleep. We’ve all been there. It doesn’t have to be this way. Changing sleep habits doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your relationship with your child.
Personalized sleep solutions mean I will listen to your goals and follow your comfort level. I will combine sleep science with your parenting styles without ever judging your choices.
Let's Work Together
Sleep is a puzzle. There are many pieces to think about- environment, the routine, timing, your role- it can be a lot to figure out! There are plenty of “how to” instructions on the internet or books about sleep. These can be overwhelming, contradictory and not specific to your situation!
I will be your guide in putting the pieces together. My goal is to educate, empower and support. I will share with you the latest sleep science and safe sleep practices to get your child sleeping soundly. I will give you confidence in knowing what is best in your child’s specific situation and the tools for helping him/her. I will be your cheerleader from start to finish. YOU will be the biggest piece of the puzzle and my priority. My strength is holding your experience and comfort level in a judgment free space. As the final puzzle piece, you will complete the picture to get your family better rested. Let’s do this together.
