For the first time in months, I slept in bed with my wife for the entire night!
Yesterday we moved our bed away from the outside wall of our house to the interior south facing wall, and I never felt the urge to leave the bed. The big key I think is that I wasn’t disturbed by noise and vibration from the exterior air conditioning units.
My total sleep score for the night started at 66 and this was partly due to reduced sleep time as I woke up early and got out of bed at 5:47am to start my day. But I started feeling fatigued in my brain around 11:00am and took a nap from 11:20am to 11:59am. This bumped up my sleep score to 70, along with a boost in my readiness.
My total combined deep sleep was 57m and REM was 52m. My efficiency was slightly below average at 73% with 2h 18m of total time awake.
I have big moves to make to achieve the level of quality sleep that I’m aiming for, but I’ve made some real progress in the last week by moving from the couch, to my sleep cave and now my own bed.
I’m committed to maintaining the ability to sleep in bed with my wife, and now I must continue to make adjustments to other parts of my life, habits and pre-sleep routine to experience the kind of sleep I’m dreaming of.
