Sleep Tracker – 8/3/2024

I’m happy to see an improvement in my sleep last night with 1h 41m of deep sleep and 1h 8m of REM sleep.

At the moment, I’ll give credit to wearing my Swannies blue light blocking glasses starting around 5pm until I went to bed. I plan to continue wearing my blue blockers by at least 6pm every night from now on. I already know it is important, but haven’t been doing it lately until last night. It will be interesting if just this one action continues to boost my restorative sleep time.

My energy level has been pretty solid today and I haven’t been pulled to the feeling of needing a nap which usually happens 2-3 days a week for me.

Oura also gave me an 88 Readiness score and a crown for the day, along with bumping my Resilience rating from Solid to Strong. This correlates well to how I’m actually feeling.

I did change my pre-sleep supplements up a little which may be a factor as well. I’ll continue to test and monitor with the aim of finding out which habits and supplements are working for me to improve my sleep.

I still only slept 6h 33m out of 8h 42m in bed with lots of wake ups throughout the night so my Sleep Efficiency did not improve. But I’m encouraged by the increase in deep and REM sleep and am hopeful to see this continue.

Pre-sleep supplements taken: 100mg Double Wood Apigenin, 2g Carlson Glycine, 3 capsules Global Healing Center Oxy-Powder, 1tsp Manuka Honey
