My sleep quality dropped last night to a score of 68 with only 75% efficiency – 6h 49m of sleep out of 9h 2m in bed. My readiness is decent at 85, but I definitely have not been operating at one of my higher levels today.
It took me a while to get to sleep last night with a very high 35m latency.
I took CBD for the first time in a while before bed and I think it was a little stimulating for me. I’m going to take it again tonight but reduce the dose and increase the time between when I take it and when I go to bed. I’ll also add melatonin back in tonight.
When I look at my sleep graphs over time, I see that I often wake up around 4:30 or 5:00 and have a harder time getting back to sleep at that time. I like to sleep until around 6:30 to increase the overall sleep I’m getting but if this pattern remains consistent it may be worth getting up earlier for a period of time and see how that plays out with my energy during the day and sleep at night.
It’s definitely interesting how little things can make a big difference, and also challenging to pinpoint whether something like a supplement is helping or not. Part of why I’m keeping this sleep tracking journal is to focus my own awareness on the details so that I can pick up more clues and improve my sleep over time.
