When you have chronic insomnia, be sure to take every win and give yourself credit for every win!
Although living with chronic insomnia is hard, there will always be some positive moments — especially if you are implementing cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) techniques to improve your sleep for the long term.
It’s so important that, whenever you notice a positive moment, an improvement, an enjoyable moment, you give yourself credit and recognize the win!

Don’t make excuses for these wins — if you get a good night of sleep, don’t tell yourself that the good sleep only happened because you had a run of bad nights, because you were at the gym that day, because you drank a certain type of tea, or took a certain pill or supplement.

Every positive moment is evidence that you are capable of sleep and that you are making progress. Give yourself credit for every win. Adopt a positive mindset, and you’ll find it much easier to regain sleep confidence and get rid of your insomnia.
