When you live with insomnia, it’s easy to give up the little things you enjoy in the hope it might bring better sleep. Danny used to close the blinds at night, trying to control every detail — even though he loved the glow of the streetlamp, the sound of bugs, and the moonlight.
One night he chose differently. He left the blinds open, even if it meant he might not sleep. And that night, he did sleep.
Progress isn’t always about adding more effort. Sometimes it’s about letting go of control and reconnecting with what makes life meaningful, even in the presence of insomnia.
