Naptime Progress & How to Stay on Track 4–6 Months | Day 3 – Step 1

Welcome to Day 3! Naps can be one of the trickiest parts of sleep training—but they’re also one of the most rewarding once they click. Today, Dana Obleman offers more guidance to help you stay consistent with your baby’s nap routine, even when it feels like it’s not quite coming together yet.

In this video, you’ll learn:
– How much awake time your baby should have based on their age
– Why relying on the clock is more effective than watching for tiredness cues
– How to use the “stay in the room” method during naps
– What to do when your baby is transitioning from 3 naps to 2
– Why it’s okay to occasionally use the stroller, carrier, or car seat for that tough last nap of the day

🗓️ Nap transitions can take time—usually 2–4 weeks at this age—so keep going! The effort you’re putting in now will pay off big time.
