Listen to music before sleep? Do this!
It’s true: listening to music CAN improve your sleep quality and help you fall asleep faster. Studies have shown that music reduces cortisol in your system, the hormone associated with stress and alertness. Music also increases dopamine production, the hormone that makes us feel good.
So when you listen to music just before AND as you sleep, this can reduce the stress hormone and promote that “happiness” hormone.
Before you pop in your earbuds tonight, it’s important to keep a few tips in mind. Join sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus as he gives you a few tips for music to play just before bedtime and while you’re falling asleep. And, don’t miss his tip for couples, too.
