Insomnia Insight #152: You can’t negotiate with insomnia
We can learn a lot about insomnia from this classic children’s book. For those of you not familiar with it, a boy offers a mouse a cookie. The mouse then asks for a glass of milk for the cookie, a mirror to see if he has a milk mustache, scissors to cut the long hair he notices in the mirror and so on. Finally he asks for a glass of milk and then a cookie to go with the milk.
In this episode we talk about how the boy here is you and the mouse is insomnia. No matter what you try to appease it with I will ask for more. Hold on to the cookie.
