Insomnia insight #132: Racing thoughts, can’t shut off your brain - consider this challenge
Racing thoughts and not being able to shut off your brain are very common reasons for poor sleep. Typically, we try calming the mind with soothing music or calming teas or meditation. What if this is the wrong strategy? Perhaps clearing the mind just gives racing thoughts more space.
In this episode we talk about how the opposite strategy, challenging the brain to force racing thoughts to the sidelines may be helpful.
