Day 8: Transitioning from 2 Naps to 1 (7–12 Months Sleep Sense Program)

Welcome to Day 8—and congratulations! You’ve made it through the first week of sleep training, and that’s a huge accomplishment.

Today, we’re shifting our focus to naps, especially for babies approaching the 11–12 month mark. If naps have become more frustrating lately, it might be time to start transitioning from two naps to one.

In this video, I’ll walk you through:
– The telltale signs your baby is ready to drop the second nap
– A gradual approach to shifting nap time later in the day
– How to temporarily add a short cat nap if the single nap isn’t long enough yet
– Ways to extend awake time just enough to support better nap quality
– What to do tonight (Hint: stick with the same routine as Night 7—chair by the door!)

👉 Need help navigating the 2-to-1 nap transition? https://sleepsense.net/plus includes a helpful resource to guide you through it, step by step.

👶 This course is for babies aged 7–12 months. For other age groups, check the Playlists section of my YouTube channel to find the right program.

Here’s hoping tonight’s the night your baby sleeps all the way through. You’re doing amazing—see you on Day 9!
