Day 7: Pushing Through Sleep Training Fatigue (7–12 Months Sleep Sense Program)
Welcome to Day 7 of the Sleep Sense Program for babies aged 7–12 months—you’re almost through the first week!
Today, we’re talking about fatigue—a common experience at this stage for both babies and parents. As your little one adjusts to sleeping in longer, more independent stretches, it’s normal for them to be a little crankier or needier during the day. And let’s be honest, you’re probably feeling it too!
In this video, you’ll learn:
– What fatigue looks like in babies—and why it’s actually a sign of progress
– How to care for yourself and your baby without losing momentum
– When to revisit past videos to troubleshoot issues
– Why your consistency now will lead to better sleep for everyone in the weeks ahead
Night 7 is also a transition night! Tonight, move your chair to the doorway and stay seated as your baby falls asleep. Try not to intervene unless absolutely necessary—this helps build even stronger independent sleep skills. Use your calming key phrase if your little one needs a bit of reassurance.
