Day 6: Nap Burnout + On-the-Go Sleep Strategies (7–12 Months Sleep Training)
Welcome to Day 6 of the Sleep Sense Program for babies aged 7–12 months!
If Night 5 felt like a step backward, don’t panic—regressions around this time are totally normal. Just keep going with the plan, and you’ll likely see improvements again soon.
Today, we’re talking about nap burnout—for both you and baby! It’s common to feel a little stir-crazy during these first couple of weeks, so I’m sharing practical tips for staying flexible with naps without derailing your progress.
In this video, you’ll learn:
– How to safely handle stroller or car naps (without turning them into a habit)
– What to do if baby nods off on the way home—and how to reset the nap
– How to strike a balance between consistency and real life (aim for home naps 80% of the time)
– Why it’s okay to take a break sometimes—as long as you stay on track overall
Tonight, for Night 6, stick with the same plan from the last few nights. If another little regression pops up, stay calm and consistent. You’ve got this!
