Day 11: Sleep Disruptions from Developmental Milestones (7–12 Months Sleep Training)
Good morning! Last night was your second night outside the room—how did it go? If it was a little rocky, don’t worry. That’s normal, especially as your baby goes through big developmental leaps.
Today we’re talking about milestone-related sleep disruptions—like crawling, walking, talking, and sitting up. These exciting changes can temporarily throw off your baby’s sleep, but with a little patience, you’ll get right back on track.
In this video, you’ll learn:
– Why new developmental skills can make falling asleep harder
– What to do if baby gets “stuck” sitting or standing in the crib
– How to practice key skills during the day to reduce bedtime frustration
– Why your response at night should be calm, quick, and boring—no playtime!
Tonight (Night 11), stick with the plan: stay outside the room, wait 5–10 minutes before going in if needed, and keep check-ins brief and consistent. You’re so close to solid, independent sleep!
