The Middle of the Room Transition (25 Months & Up | Day 4)

Welcome to Day 4 of the toddler sleep training course! You’ve made it through some of the hardest nights—and today, you’re taking a big step forward: moving your chair into the middle of the room.

In this video, Dana Obleman explains why this shift is so important and how to manage your child’s response with confidence and consistency.

🚪 What you’ll learn in this video:
– Why it’s time to move out of touching range
– How to help your child adjust without creating new sleep props
– What to expect during this transition (yes, some pushback is normal!)
– How to use the “1 warning, 1 consequence” approach if needed
– How to handle overnight wake-ups using the same strategy

🎯 Pro tip: Stay in your chair, stay calm, and don’t give in to new habits. This is a huge milestone in helping your child fall asleep on their own.
