Breaking the Feeding-Sleep Association 4–6 Months | Day 13
Welcome to Day 13! You’re just one night away from completing the full two-week program—what an accomplishment! Today, Dana Obleman helps you tackle one last common sleep hurdle: the feeding-sleep association.
If your baby is still waking during the night, there’s a good chance they’re still relying on a feed to drift off—and not completing that final step on their own.
In this video, you’ll learn:
– Why putting baby down drowsy but not fully awake can sabotage your progress
– What signs to watch for during feeding that signal baby’s already falling asleep
– Simple ways to keep baby alert during nighttime feeds (tickling, singing, movement)
– Why the goal is putting baby down fully awake and alert every time
🍼 That last 20% of falling asleep is where the real sleep skills develop—so this step is key.
🌙 As you head into Night 13, stay consistent with your bedtime routine and continue to stay out of the room unless baby wakes. If they do, use your 10-minute check-ins just like before.
