Believe it or not, I’ve helped more people alleviate their back pain with the right PILLOW than anything else.
That’s because your back pain is CONNECTED to how you are sleeping (I know because I myself have back pain, and I know a lot of you suffer along with me).
So I want to share what I know that has helped me and my patients!
First, I want to start with something called sleep posture. Now sleep posture is different from your sleep position. The right sleep position is an essential part of sleep posture, but it isn’t the whole story. You’re probably aware of the impact your daytime posture has on how your back feels.
With sleep posture, it’s the same thing.
Think of it like this: how you carry yourself throughout the day matters. If your daytime posture is good – back straight, shoulders back – you’ll feel better than if you go through the day slouched over. Nighttime posture is similar, so I’ll provide my tips on how to have perfect sleep posture at night.
Next, I’ll talk about how your bedroom environment — specifically, you mattress and pillow — are most likely the source of your back pain and how to better optimize these items for pain-free sleep.
